John Gogo is best known for writing and singing folksongs about people & places, the truth & tall tales of Western Canada.
From Haida Gwaii to St. John's to Old Crow, John's played community halls & big houses, festivals & pubs, theatres & beer parlours.
Having co-written and co-starred in ‘Good Timber - Songs & Stories of the Western Logger’ he now has his own one-man ‘John Gogo Coal & Wood Show’ to re-launch in 2024.
John is currently recording 'Western Balladeer', his 6th album, with contributions from Duke & Goldie, David Essig, Ed Peekeekoot, Paul Gogo, Alan Moberg, Tobin Stokes, Rick Scott, Daniel Lapp and Valdy.
Solo shows, guest performances and tours are currently booked with Duke & Goldie, featuring daughter Jena Gogo, with more dates being announced.
